SDG 4: we focus on target 4.7 (global citizenship education); our goal is to cultivate ‘social consciousness’ (our theory of change is that information empowerment is a stepping stone to change-making) around global issues. For example, our flagship magazine is a community-driven, peer-to-peer platform for global issues education.
SDG 8: we empower young people with 21st century changemaking skills through peer-to-peer and project-based learning. Over the past two years, we've trained more than 300+ student volunteers in project management, leadership, technical skills (article writing, video/audio editing) etc. to prepare them for the future of work.
SDG 17: ISSIA has catalyzed an ecosystem of young changemakers in Hong Kong as the go-to peer to peer hub for aspiring and leading changemakers. We previously organized two conferences that brought together 20+ leading youth-led organizations and changemakers in Hong Kong for up-skilling, resource sharing and partnership/collaborations.
